Design Philosophy

This mehfil is loud, messy, and overflowing with love. And honestly? There’s nothing better.

An Ode to Allama Iqbal

فطرت کو خرد کے روبرو کر

(Fitrat ko khirad ke robaru kar)

تسخیر مقام رنگ و بو کر

(Taskheer-e-maqam-e-rang-o-boo kar)

تو اپنی خودی کو کھو چکا ہے

(Tu apni khudi ko kho chuka hai)

کھوئی ہوئی شے کی جستجو کر

(Khoi hui shay ki justuju kar)

تاروں کی فضا ہے بیکرانہ

(Taaron ki faza hai bekarana)

تو بھی یہ مقام آرزو کر

(Tu bhi yeh maqam aarzu kar)

عریاں ہیں ترے چمن کی حوریں

(Uryaan hain tere chaman ki hoorai)

چاک گل و لالہ کو رفو کر

(Chaak-e-gul-o-lala ko rafu kar)

بے ذوق نہیں اگرچہ فطرت

(Be-zauq nahin agarche fitrat)

جو اس سے نہ ہو سکا وہ تو کر

(Jo us se na ho saka, woh tu kar)

Translation:

Confront nature with reason,

Conquer the realm of color and fragrance.

You have lost your own self,

Seek that which has been lost.

The expanse of stars is infinite,

Make this your place of longing as well.

The fair maidens of your garden stand unveiled,

Mend the torn petals of roses and tulips.

Though nature is not without taste,

Do what it could not achieve.

Avoid perfumes on Handwork: Avoid spraying perfume or deodorants directly onto the Handwork, as these may cause discoloration or damage to the embroidery.
Iron with Care: Should you need to iron, turn the garment inside out and use a low-heat setting. For the Handwork area, place a cloth between the iron and the fabric to protect the delicate hand embroidery from direct heat.
Storing Your Garment: When you’re not wearing it, fold it gently with tissue paper over handwork and place it on a flat surface.
