An Ode to Allama Iqbal
پھر بادِ بہار آئی ، اقبال غزل خواں ہو
(Phir bād-e-bahār āi, Iqbāl ghazal khwān ho)
غنچہ ہے اگر گل ہو، گل ہے تو گلستاں ہو۔
(Ghuncha hai agar gul ho, gul hai to gulistān ho)
Translation:
Behold, the spring breeze has returned once more,
Let Iqbal, the poet, take the floor.
For where blooms bud, the flower follows suit,
And where there's a flower, a garden takes root.
